TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Day of Caring volunteers got their hands dirty at Shaner Elementary school Friday.
The staff from Schendel Pest Control gave Shaner's school playground equipment a makeover, cleaning it up and giving it a fresh coat of paint.
Schendel workers say the volunteering is a fun day out of the office, helping the community. Plus, they say it's a good team-building activity to work together outside their usual setting.
