Company to assume assets and customer contracts of Springer Pest Solutions in K.C.

(Topeka, KS October 4, 2006) Schendel Pest Services, a privately-held leading provider of complete pest management services to commercial and residential clients in seven states, has announced that they have acquired the Kansas City operations of Springer Pest Solutions, currently employing ten associates in the metro area.

According to Schendel President Brent Boles, the acquisition is a strategic move.
“Schendel has been servicing commercial business in Kansas City for some time. We have contracts with several local school districts, restaurants and health care facilities. Until this opportunity surfaced to acquire local residential business from Springer, we did not have the time or ability to offer our services to homeowners in the Kansas City metro. Now, we will be able to offer the same high level of service to treat and protect area homes that many local businesses already enjoy. That includes the services of our on-staff  Research Entomologist to ensure all Schendel customers have access to the latest developments in pest control procedures.”

Schendel Pest Services has provided complete pest management services to commercial, industrial, and residential clients since 1947. Schendel’s corporate office is located in Topeka, Kansas and Schendel provides services to customers in seven states – Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Additionally, Schendel Pest Services is a partner with Copesan Services, which enables the company to sell and service commercial accounts on a national basis.

Springer Pest Solutions is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa and will remain in operation in other markets.
