The Washburn basketball and volleyball court in Lee Arena has been named Schendel Court thanks to a five-year marketing agreement with Schendel Pest Services.

“Washburn is such an important part of the Topeka community, and Schendel is proud to support both its academic and athletic programs,” said Amber Smith, marketing manager for Schendel Pest Services.

The court now features the logos of Schendel Pest Services and Schendel Lawn and Landscape.

“We are excited about the new partnership between Schendel and Washburn athletics,” said Loren Ferré, Washburn athletic director said.

Lee Arena has been home to Ichabods basketball and Lady Blues volleyball and basketball since it opened in 1984.
