Residential Bed Bug Services

Schendel bedbug services is your best solution against the threat of bed bugs. Homes are invaded by these nighttime pests and can quickly become problem if not treated immediately.  Bed bug treatments are customized after a careful inspection of the room(s) or infested area(s) are completed.

How do I know if I have bed bugs?

The first sign of a bed bug infestation is the appearance of small brownish or reddish dots on bed linens and mattresses. These are created by bed bug droppings and spots of blood. Bed bug eggs and molted skins can be visible in areas of high activity.

Heavy infestations may produce an odor described as sweetish smelling. Bed bug "bites" (actually entry points of their blood-drawing beaks) often result in red, itchy areas on the skin.  Bed bugs feed on any bare skin exposed while sleeping.
Where do bed bugs come from?

Bed bugs come from a variety of sources including luggage, public transportation, hotels, motels, and more. Bed bugs are able to crawl into very small crevices in and around human environments. They do not have nests like ants or bees, but do tend to congregate in habitual hiding places.

These hiding places include:

- Mattresses, linens, and upholstery
- Furniture crevices
- Wood trim
- Electrical switches and outlets
- In floors and cracks in floors
- Behind wallpaper and picture frames
