Labor Day

Labor Day

9/1/2010

On Monday we celebrate Labor Day. For many, it’s the unofficial last day of summer. But of course that’s not the true reason for the holiday.  According to the Department of Labor, Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

This Labor Day, I’d like to recognize the co-workers of Schendel Pest Services.  I’m very proud of the work they do every day, protecting the health and property of thousands of people.  Pest control can be a hot (or cold), dirty job, with long hours and very little glamour, but it is vitally important to the well-being of our country and world.  Thank you to the Schendel co-workers for your commitment to our customers, company and industry.

Have a happy, safe Labor Day weekend!
