Patti Atchison puckered up to kiss a rat for a Topeka United Way fundraising event at Schendel Pest Services.  Buckets were set out with various managers and department heads’ name on them and co-workers threw money into the bucket of who they wanted to see kiss the rat…and Atchison came out the winner.

The real winner is the Topeka United Way.  Schendel employees set a goal of raising five-thousand dollars for the fundraiser and topped that amount by more than four hundred dollars.  It’s the most they’ve raised in one campaign in the last five years.
