Schendel Celebrates National Pest Management Month

4/15/2010

Schendel Pest Services, along with the entire pest management industry, celebrates National Pest Management Month in April.  Pest control is one of those things most people don’t think about until they have a problem.  But consider this:  The life expectancy in the US rose from 49 years in 1900 to 77 years in 2000.  This dramatic increase is attributed to three things:  better sanitation, better pharmaceuticals/medicine, and better pest control.

Even if you’ve never experienced damage from termites, had an infestation of bedbugs or been annoyed by those little ants all over your kitchen, know that our industry is working for you.  We keep hospitals sterile and pest-free, so that disease is not passed to patients.  Without pest management, restaurants would be overrun with roaches and rodents and not be able to serve the public.  We protect schools, so that our children can learn and grow in a healthy environment.  It may not be a glamorous job, but all of us at Schendel are proud of the contribution we make to protect the health of our country and our world.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you, and to protect your home, your business and your health.
